Purpose of the Role The Production Team Leader Welding plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient and high-quality execution of welding operations within the production environment. By leading and developing a team of skilled operators, this role contributes directly to operational excellence, product quality, and on-time delivery, while fostering a strong safety culture and continuous improvement mindset in line with VAT's standards. Responsibilities Lead, organize, and coordinate daily welding operations to meet production plans, deadlines, and performance targets. Supervise and support the welding team, ensuring clear task allocation, performance feedback, and ongoing development. Ensure strict adherence to welding procedures, quality standards, and technical specifications. Promote and enforce workplace safety regulations, conducting regular checks and addressing potential risks proactively. Collaborate closely with Quality, Engineering, and Production Planning teams to resolve issues and improve processes. Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to enhance efficiency and reduce waste. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions where necessary. Foster a positive team environment that encourages accountability, teamwork, and high performance. Qualifications Fluency in German is mandatory; English language skills are considered a strong advantage. Strong leadership and team management skills.
