Location: Zug – Switzerland Role The Test Lab Infrastructure Assistant Working student will be supporting our team in Zug. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and play a crucial part in ensuring the quality of our releases. Your new responsibilities Fire Alarm Environment Support: Your primary focus will be on our fire alarm systems. This includes installing, managing updates, and performing integration testing of new release versions within our test lab Virtualization Infrastructure Assistance: You'll also help support our virtualization infrastructure by creating new virtual clients, managing client and infrastructure backups, and maintaining our network Your talents and experience You are enrolled at a Swiss university of university of applied sciences in the Information technology or Computer Science- Cyber Security OR you are taking a gap year between Bachelor’s and master’s studies Basic understanding of IT infrastructure, including Windows environments, virtualization, and networking concepts Have experience with (but not essential, as training will be provided) with: Fire alarm systems, Windows Client and Server deployment, Proxmox VE, Cisco & MikroTik network devices Collaborative mindset with a strong team-oriented mindset, while demonstrating the initiative, accountability, and self-management required to deliver results independently Have a keen interest in technology and a desire to learn are essential Possess the ability to quickly learn and apply new skills will be key to your success Be a motivated and proactive student with excellent problem-solving skills and a dedicated, results-oriented work style Proficiency in English is required, and German is a plus Hybrid role: 2 days onsite / 1 remote (if 60%) Employee benefits Mobile working from anywhere within Switzerland Opportunity to develop an international professional network Gain experience at one of the largest tech employers in Switzerland Membership in the Siemens Students Association comprising 200 members Our corporate culture – your new working environment The culture at Siemens Switzerland is more than just a working environment – it is at the heart of our day-to-day interactions and the key to our success.Siemens Switzerland offers a future-oriented working environment characterized by innovation, sustainability and personal development.
