Stellenbeschreibung

At ZIS, learners are part of a connected learning community where they belong, grow, and contribute. Through strong relationships, inspiring learning experiences, and a commitment to positive impact, they develop into curious thinkers, collaborative leaders, resilient learners, purpose-driven citizens, and global navigators. We are looking for an Upper Secondary Visual Arts Teacher to inspire curiosity, creative expression, academic growth, and transferable competencies across Grades 7 through 12 at our Adliswil Campus. Key Responsibilities: Nurture a welcoming environment where upper secondary learners feel known, valued, and empowered to explore diverse artistic mediums, critique visual culture, and tackle real-world creative challenges. Deliver rigorous, learner-centered instruction in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) Visual Arts course (and/or Advanced Placement Art & Design), helping learners develop deep conceptual understanding, technical studio mastery, and personal artistic agency. Ground learning in global citizenship, celebrating diverse cultural art traditions and building creative confidence. Skills & Qualifications: Demonstrated expertise in Visual Arts instruction for Grades 7–12 with specific expertise in the IBDP Visual Arts curriculum (and/or AP Art & Design). Versatility across standard and digital visual media (e.g., painting, sculpture, printmaking, photography, digital arts, media studies, or ceramics). Experience designing inquiry-driven, studio-based learning that nurtures critical thinking, analytical skills, creative risk-taking, and social-emotional growth. Proven ability to establish strong, transparent relationships with parents regarding student progress, exhibitions, and wellbeing. Commitment to intercultural understanding, global citizenship, and inclusive classroom cultures. Flexible, adaptive, and collaborative approach to studio management and teaching.
