With our growth strategy we will expand our team of Global Category Management, for which we need a dynamic and resilient personality to provide technical expertise in Castings acting as a competence center. We are looking for a profoundly experienced specialist to support our procurement organization as a Technical Specialist – Castings 80-100% (f/m/d) Your daily contribution: Technical expert for casting technology, covering a strategically critical procurement category for BC Group Supports Category Management and Procurement in technical supplier selection, evaluation, and ongoing supplier development Acts as key interface between suppliers and internal functions on technical matters (Engineering, Quality, Sales/Service, Project Management) Conducts technical supplier audits and assesses part requirements for foundry processes Monitors casting quality and leads or contributes to category projects and contract processes Drives casting optimization initiatives with Engineering and suppliers Drives quality improvement initiatives with Engineering, Supplier Quality and Development team and Suppliers including conducting RCA's, corrective and preventive measures (8D or similar) Manages technical escalations, risk analysis, and mitigation actions for casting parts, including maintaining a casting risk management system Management of patterns, creating guidelines, maintaining global pattern databases etc. Defines standards and guidelines (e.g. patterns, prototypes, material specifications) and provides technical guidance across global procurement and expert teams Your Profile: Engineering graduation in Foundry technology (German: Dipl. Ing.
