Relief Worker, fixed-term 80 - 100% Correctional Services and Reintegration (JuWe) is part of the Directorate of Justice and the Interior of the Canton of Zurich and is responsible for penal and measure enforcement as well as the implementation of various types of detention. For our 1,400 employees from around 40 professions, the successful social reintegration of offenders and the prevention of recidivism are of particular importance. The Pöschwies Correctional Facility (JVA) is one of eight main departments of JuWe and, with 399 places, the largest closed correctional facility in Switzerland for male offenders. It fulfils a central state function and, according to legal mandate, is responsible for the resocialisation of incarcerated persons and the protection of the public. For the area of Economy & Work, we are looking for a flexible, resilient and eager-to-learn individual with pronounced social skills and an interest in correctional services to start immediately or by arrangement. The position is limited to two years.
