Join the Obergericht des Kantons Zürich as a court clerk. This role offers a unique opportunity to engage with ongoing criminal investigations remotely. Tasks Independently handle various legal matters related to criminal law. Draft legal decisions and analyze complex legal issues. Collaborate with judges on case-related documentation and revisions. Skills Law degree required; experience in justice or prosecution is a plus. Strong legal knowledge and language skills are essential. Ability to work under pressure and maintain accuracy. The chamber deals with the appeal remedy of complaint, which is taken against orders and procedural acts of the criminal prosecution authorities, in particular the public prosecutors, or against decisions of lower instances. In addition, the chamber decides at first instance on recusal requests pursuant to Art. 59 para. 1 lit. b CCP and authorisation requests pursuant to Art. 7 para. 2 lit. b CCP in conjunction with § 148 GOG. However, we are interested in a longer-term commitment and therefore offer the possibility of an unlimited extension.) You are responsible for the independent handling of the mentioned matters in their full range (e.g. concerning coercive measures such as detention, seizure or DNA profile creation as well as participation rights, evidence collection and procedural conclusions such as dismissals). You have complete knowledge of the files, independently analyse the legal questions arising in a dynamically developing procedural law, draft the decisions for the judges involved in the decisions (proposal submission) and carry out the final editing. You will encounter everything from trivial matters to highly complex economic offences or capital crimes. With longer employment, there is possibly the opportunity to participate in the High Court coercive measures court (approval of secret surveillance measures). You are responsible for the independent handling of the mentioned matters in their full range (e.g. concerning coercive measures such as detention, seizure or DNA profile creation as well as participation rights, evidence collection and procedural conclusions such as dismissals). You have complete knowledge of the files, independently analyse the legal questions arising in a dynamically developing procedural law, draft the decisions for the judges involved in the decisions (proposal submission) and carry out the final editing. Bar admission, dissertation or CAS Forensics or Criminal Procedure Law advantageous. Professional experience in the judiciary, legal profession or criminal prosecution. Excellent references regarding your legal knowledge and language skills. You work independently and precisely, are efficient and remain calm even under high time pressure.
