# Senior Software Engineer (GenAI) # (m/f/d) Freelance/temporary employment for a project Bern Start date: 08/26 Reference number: 882534/1 ### Project information ### * No sub-contracting possible, only staff leasing via Hays (Schweiz) AG ### Responsibilities ### * Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software solutions in modern development environments * Apply Generative AI tools pragmatically to improve development efficiency and effectiveness * Integrate AI-assisted practices into the software development lifecycle without compromising quality * Ensure high standards in code quality, security, maintainability, and correctness * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust and scalable solutions * Support and guide teams in adopting AI-assisted development in a disciplined manner * Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and code review practices * Identify and implement improvements in engineering productivity and delivery processes * Promote best practices in collaborative software development * Act as a hands-on contributor in day-to-day development activities ### Profile ### * Strong background as a senior hands-on software engineer in modern delivery environments * Proven practical experience using Generative AI tools in real-world software engineering * Solid understanding of CI/CD, testing strategies, and code review processes * Strong engineering judgment regarding quality, security, and maintainability * Experience working in collaborative and agile development teams * Pragmatic, delivery-focused mindset with a low tolerance for hype-driven approaches * Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills * Experience with GitHub, GitHub Copilot, or similar AI-assisted development tools (preferred) * Background in developer enablement, productivity, or engineering effectiveness (advantageous) * Experience supporting or coaching teams in AI-assisted development practices (advantageous) ### Benefits ### * Responsible and varied work in a technically exciting environment * Access to the latest technologies and tools * Remote work possible
