Diese Position berichtet an: Research Team Manager - Power Electronic Systems __ Your role and responsibilities Our team's mission is to drive innovation at the intersection of power electronic converters and electromagnetics, translating cutting-edge research into next-generation ABB products. We focus on electromagnetic modeling of power converter systems and components, conducted and radiat-ed emissions mitigation, passive and active filtering strategies, and shielding. The work model for the role is: #LI-Hybrid You will be mainly accountable for: Pioneer innovative concepts for ensuring electromagnetic compatibility and interference compliance in high-power converters Develop EMC models to predict and analyze electromagnetic compatibility and optimize electromagnetic design of circuits and systems EMC measurements of conducted and radiated emissions of converters and HF characterization of components Patent innovative solutions and demonstrate technology leadership through e.g., high-impact publications Collaborate closely with ABB research centers, business units, and universities to transition research into real-world applications Qualifications for the role PhD in electrical engineering, physics or related discipline with specialization in power electronics or electromagnetics Proven research excellence demonstrated through high-impact publications and patents Deep technical expertise in: EMC/EMI theory and solid theoretical background in electromagnetic modelling and field simulations Power electronic converter topologies, filters, magnetics, and semiconductor switching devices Simulation tools such as CST, COMSOL, ANSYS, SPICE circuit simulator (LTSpice, SIMetrix), Simulink Hands-on laboratory skills in HF-electromagnetic measurements (conducted and/or radiated emissions), with a proactive, self-driven approach to designing, building, and testing EMC/EMI-compliant power converters. Versatile skill set with the ability to bridge theory and practice across multiple technical domains.
