About the job The opportunity We are looking for a research scientist with expertise in modelling and simulation of complex physical phenomena to join our Research Center in Baden/Switzerland. In an interdisciplinary environment, you will drive cutting-edge innovation and develop new solutions to improve the performance and reliability of power grids devices, such as transformers, circuit breakers, power semiconductors. How you’ll make an impact You innovate: Drive the translation of innovative ideas into new power grid device features through physical modeling, scientific programming, and advanced data analysis You investigate: Elaborate and implement new models to improve the understanding of physical phenomena, such as electromagnetic, fluid-dynamics, mechanical and nonlinear material behavior You take initiative: Collaborate with a global and interdisciplinary team of researchers and engineers across research and business units to identify, shape, and solve impactful industrial challenges You collaborate: Build relationships within the company and actively share your knowledge and expertise.
