Clerk in Assessment 100% At the Office for Military and Civil Protection, around 140 employees at the locations Zurich, Birmensdorf and Andelfingen jointly make an important contribution to the safety of the population. The Department of Military Service Replacement Administration (WPEV) of the Canton of Zurich is a partner of the federal tax administration as well as the cantonal tax administration and works closely with the military administration and the municipalities of the Canton of Zurich. The WPEV assesses and collects the annual replacement fees from all Swiss citizens liable for replacement in the Canton of Zurich who do not perform military or civil service. From 01.09.2026 or by arrangement, we are looking for a new committed team member. Your tasks - Providing telephone and written information to those liable for replacement (unfit for service, military service and civil service deferrals) - Mutation, taxation and assessment of those liable for replacement - Maintaining the register of those liable for replacement in the WPEV specialist application - Processing notifications from the Army Personnel Information System (PISA) and Civil Service (ZiviConnect) - Responsibility for various replacement law matters concerning those liable for civil service (ZIVI) - Responsible for internal logistical areas such as postal service, telematics and material procurement Your profile - Completed commercial training (EFZ) and at least two years of professional experience after graduation - High service orientation, pronounced communication skills and enjoyment in dealing with different stakeholders - Structured, organised and resilient, with the ability to keep an overview even in hectic situations - Your German is stylistically secure and you express yourself appropriately for the target audience - You have very good IT skills (MS 365) and a confident handling of modern digital tools - You have an interest in legal issues and taxation We offer - Varied activity with a high degree of independence - A cheerful and well-coordinated team - Careful introduction to the new activity - Good connection to public transport and the transport network - Employment according to cantonal guidelines For information, please contact Mr Roland Weber, Head of Assessment and Refund Sector, telephone 043 259 70 92.
