The cantonal monument preservation office safeguards the cultural heritage of the Canton of Zurich. The Inventory and Documentation department is looking for an intern from September 2026 to support building documentation for one year. Your tasks Under the guidance of the project managers, you will create documentation on monument preservation objects that are being restored, converted, or researched in more detail for the book project "The Art Monuments of the Canton of Zurich". You will reconstruct the construction and ownership history of these buildings, conduct archive research, compile room registers, and accompany photographic and drawing documentation. Additionally, you will support us in public relations. Your profile The internship is aimed at persons with a (forthcoming) Master’s degree in History, Art and Architectural History, or Medieval Archaeology. Ideally, you have experience in reading and transcribing handwritten sources.
