About the job Ophtapharm AG is an FDA/EU-GMP certified manufacturer in the pharmaceutical sector (ophthalmic products). At our production site in Hettlingen near Winterthur, high-quality products such as eye drops, ointments, and gels are aseptically produced, filled, and packaged for international markets. You lead and develop the Quality Control department of a sterile pharmaceutical manufacturing site and ensure reliable, compliant, and timely analytical testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products. Together with your team, you drive quality, laboratory performance, continuous improvement, and inspection readiness in a highly regulated GMP environment. To strengthen our Quality organization, we are looking for a hands-on, quality-focused and people-oriented leader to join us at our site in Hettlingen near Winterthur as Manager Quality Control (80–100%), starting as soon as possible or by agreement. Your Role Lead and develop the QC department, including Analytical Chemistry, in close collaboration with Microbiology and In-Process Control Ensure GMP-compliant testing and release of raw materials, in-process samples and finished products Drive laboratory performance, continuous improvement, digitalization and data integrity Lead investigations, CAPAs and inspection readiness activities Manage, coach and develop the QC team Your Profile Degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy or a related Life Sciences discipline Several years of experience in pharmaceutical Quality Control, including leadership responsibility in a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment Strong analytical expertise, including HPLC and laboratory investigations Sound knowledge of GMP requirements and experience supporting regulatory inspections and audits Fluent in German and English What you can expect A visible leadership role with responsibility for Quality Control at an FDA/EU-GMP certified manufacturing site The opportunity to shape laboratory performance, processes and continuous improvement initiatives Direct interaction with health authorities, customer audits and senior leadership A broad role combining people leadership, compliance and operational excellence A lean organization with short communication lines, fast decisions and visible impact For recruitment agencies: Thank you for your interest.
