This position reports to: Maintenance Manager __ Your tasks and responsibilities In this role, you have the opportunity to operate process plants or machines to transform raw materials or semi-finished parts into components or finished products – on time and with the required quality. You carry out the assigned tasks daily according to agreed workflows and in compliance with ABB standard processes and safety guidelines, reporting any deviations. You also contribute your expertise by operating machines according to operating instructions, work plans and/or production orders. Work model: on-site This position is part of ABB PMA in Uster. Your main tasks include: Performing routine machine settings, adjustments, as well as repairs and replacement of simple spare parts Ensuring regular standard maintenance of equipment, tool setup, programming, as well as troubleshooting and reporting possible issues Keeping detailed records of machine settings, repairs and maintenance work Monitoring and documenting released, faulty units as well as finished products Our team You will be part of a dynamic team where you can develop to your full potential. Qualifications for this position Completed vocational training (EFZ) as a polymechanic, automation technician or comparable, plus several years of professional experience or training as a maintenance technician, maintenance mechanic or machine mechanic Experience in maintenance of production equipment Basic knowledge of relevant software (e.g. SAP) Experience in predictive maintenance and implementation of continuous improvement processes Strong communication skills and helpfulness Independent and responsible working style Flexible, team-oriented personality with a hands-on mentality Basic knowledge of English More about us For our customers worldwide, we develop cable protection systems for a wide range of market segments.
