Linux System Administrator - Automation & Patching ##### Descrizione del lavoro: ##### We are seeking an experienced **Linux/Unix System Administrator**. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for managing, configuring, and maintaining a traditional server infrastructure based on **Debian** and **RedHat**distributions.The ideal candidate has solid experience handling standard servers, automating routine maintenance processes (such as security patching), and ensuring the overall reliability, performance, and stability of core business systems.**Key Responsibilities** * **System Management & Maintenance:** Install, configure, and administer Linux operating systems in production environments (Debian and RedHat/RHEL) * **Automation & Patching:** Implement and maintain automated update systems (e.g., *unattended-upgrades* on Debian, *dnf-automatic* / *yum-cron* on RedHat) ensuring zero or minimal service disruption * **Troubleshooting:** Perform log analysis, monitor system performance, and provide timely resolution for system infrastructure incidents * **Security Hardening:** Manage user permissions, access controls, and local firewalls (iptables/nftables, firewalld) * **Scripting:** Create and maintain **Bash** scripts (or equivalent) for routine task automation and backup management **Requirements (Must Have)** * **Experience:** At least 5 years of experience working as a Linux System Administrator * **Operating Systems:** Deep operational knowledge of Debian and RedHat distributions (system commands, package management via apt and dnf/yum) * **Web Technologies:** Proven experience with Apache configuration (VirtualHosts management, modules, SSL/TLS certificates) * **Scripting:** Proficient in writing **Bash** Python and Perl scripts for system automation * **Networking:** Solid understanding of core networking protocols and services (TCP/IP, DNS, SSH, DHCP, HTTP/S) * Language: Native or Bilingual Italian is mandatory * **Mindset:** Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently **Preferred Qualifications** * Familiarity with Configuration Management tools (especially **Ansible**, useful for orchestrating multi-node updates) * Experience with alternative web servers or reverse proxies (Nginx, HAProxy) * Relevant Linux certifications (e.g., RHCSA/RHCE, Linux Foundation LFCS/LFCE, or LPI) * Knowledge of infrastructure monitoring tools (e.g., Zabbix, Nagios, Prometheus) Candidati ora Conosci un talento?
