Apprentice Laboratory Technician specialising in Chemistry (a) For August 2027, we offer you a challenging training position in a fascinating research environment. What to expect The exciting activities in the chemistry laboratory include observing, monitoring, processing, communicating and interpreting data, where you make use of the sensible application of modern analytical instruments. You are responsible for the practical execution of scientific investigations, producing or analysing chemical substances. Together with the neighbouring institute Eawag, we run a joint teaching laboratory. Besides the introductory course at the start of the apprenticeship, you will also attend three-month training courses there in the second and third years of your apprenticeship. You will attend vocational school in Winterthur. What you bring Secondary school level A is soon history and you will complete it with very good results, especially in the scientific, mathematical and also language subjects. You have good powers of observation and comprehension, are persistent and keen on experimenting, and enjoy working in a team. Your technical understanding and manual dexterity are just as important as your ability for abstract and analytical thinking. We also value accuracy and reliability. A joy in working with computers and electronics is a must. You are also convinced that you want to start your future with a vocational apprenticeship.
