The Legal Counsel Outsourcing supports the Bank in the legal assessment of new engagements with third parties and updating and maintaining existing arrangements. Key responsibilities include negotiating outsourcing agreements and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations such as the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA), data protection laws and applicable outsourcing guidelines. The role also involves conducting and appropriately documenting data protection risk assessments. YOUR CHALLENGE Review, draft, and negotiate third party agreements, ensuring compliance with outsourcing, data protection and privacy regulation Act as a key legal advisor for third-party related legal matters within the organisation, collaborating with a wide range of internal stakeholders Conduct standard data protection risk assessments such as Data Protection Impact Assessments Coordinate input for data protection risk assessments from colleagues in other locations and manage the reassessment process Oversee the implementation of mitigation measures arising from risk assessments Monitor legal developments in outsourcing and data protection laws, and contribute to improving the existing outsourcing and data protection framework YOUR PROFILE University law degree Solid knowledge of data protection law, in particular EU GDPR, as well as outsourcing regulations applicable to financial institutions At least three years of experience in a similar role within the financial industry, including negotiating third-party agreements and advising on outsourcing and data protection matters Strong communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders Hands-on approach and used to work in a fast-paced environment We are looking forward to receiving your full job application through our online application tool.
