About the job About this offer Purpose The GICHD works towards reducing risk to communities caused by explosive ordnance, by furthering knowledge, promoting norms and standards, developing capacities, and facilitating dialogue and cooperation. Effective and secure information management tools play a crucial role in improving operations and enabling national responses in mine action. At the forefront of this effort, the GICHD serves as a key provider of information management advisory services and support for explosive ordnance risk reduction. With its mission to equip partner organisations with modern tools and know-how, the GICHD supports national authorities in making evidence-based operational and strategic decisions through modern, secure and reliable information management systems. Qualifications Required Good knowledge of GIS tools, particularly Web GIS and data collection tools (ArcGIS Portal and/or ArcGIS Online, Survey123, etc.). Background in and/or good understanding of AI and GeoAI. Independent, proactive and self-motivated working style. Fluent in English (written and spoken). Desired Python programming, including familiarity with ESRI Python libraries (arcpy and ArcGIS Python API). Background and/or interest in humanitarian mine action or a related field. The GICHD implements a Gender and Diversity Policy and is an equal opportunities employer. Applications are encouraged from women and men, nationals of mine-affected countries, and individuals with a disability or special needs who meet the above profile requirements.
