About the job Contract M365 Governance & Compliance Lead (m/f/d) – Microsoft 365 / Purview / Entra ID / Data Protection / Governance For a demanding Microsoft 365 and compliance mandate, we are looking for a proactive personality as an M365 specialist (m/f/d) with a focus on governance, data protection, and secure use of new Microsoft 365 features. In this role, you ensure that innovation and compliance go hand in hand. You assess new Microsoft 365 features, support data protection impact assessments, define governance requirements, and accompany their technical implementation in the tenant. A special focus is on the preparation and securing of the use of Microsoft Copilot. Tasks: * Ongoing monitoring of the Microsoft 365 Message Center as well as analysis of new functions and their impact on governance, data protection, and compliance * Evaluation of new M365 features such as Copilot, Clipchamp, Planner or other applications regarding regulatory and technical requirements * Creation and updating of data protection impact assessments for new and existing Microsoft 365 applications * Definition of internal policies for the use of Microsoft 365 tools in coordination with architecture, information security, and data protection * Support in the technical implementation of governance requirements in the tenant, including Microsoft Purview, Data Loss Prevention, and Conditional Access * Collaboration on governance, security, and data protection concepts around Microsoft Copilot * Central contact person for data protection issues in the Microsoft 365 environment * Translation of technical matters into understandable and legally secure decision-making bases for IT, legal, security, and business stakeholders Experience: * Completed studies in business informatics, computer science, law, or comparable qualification with a focus on IT compliance, data protection, or security * Profound knowledge in the Microsoft 365 environment, especially M365 Admin Center, Microsoft Purview, and Entra ID * Experience with compliance and governance topics in Microsoft 365, ideally including DLP, Conditional Access, Sensitivity Labels, or Data Governance * In-depth knowledge of data protection law as well as experience in creating or accompanying data protection impact assessments * Experience in the governmental, public, or regulated environment is an advantage * Understanding of cloud governance, information security, and regulatory requirements * Structured and process-oriented working style in dynamic cloud environments * Strong communication skills and confident mediation between IT, legal, security, and business * Very good German language skills in spoken and written form Reference no.: 9 24955DO Role: M365 Governance & Compliance Lead (m/f/d) Location: Bern and region Workload: 80-100% (2-3 days remote possible) Start: 01.07.2026 End: 31.12.2027 If this position has sparked your interest, please send us your complete dossier via the link in this advertisement.
