GVZ insures buildings in Zurich against fire and elemental damage. Join a team focused on safety and prevention. Tasks Support and plan training for around 300 militia instructors. Create annual training plans and coordinate resources effectively. Ensure smooth course operations and develop training materials. Skills Experience in fire instruction and a completed adult education certification. Strong knowledge of Swiss firefighting standards and MS Office. Excellent communication skills and organizational talent. We are looking for a dedicated person from 1 September 2026 or by arrangement as TRAINING COORDINATOR FIRE BRIGADE 100% How you can contribute with us Support, accompany and plan the deployment of around 300 militia trainers Preparation of the annual plan of training offers as well as coordination of course infrastructure, materials and resources Ensuring smooth course operations Participation in the (further) development of training concepts and course materials Didactic preparation of training content as well as ensuring quality and evaluation Conducting courses, modules and exercises in your own specialist area Participation in the planning, preparation and execution of cantonal large-scale exercises Coordination and follow-up of training components in large-scale exercises Maintenance of course-relevant data as well as preparation of evaluations and reports What you bring with you Commercial, craft or technical basic training as well as several years of experience in fire brigade instruction and active fire brigade work at management level Completed training in adult education (SVEB certificate, trainer FA or equivalent) or willingness to obtain this Several years of experience in planning, organising and conducting training as well as coordinating militia or volunteer personnel Sound knowledge of the Swiss fire service Good knowledge of MS Office and other digital tools Strong communication skills and confident manner in dealing with various stakeholders as well as the ability to motivate and connect Structured, independent working style with pronounced organisational talent, flexibility, team orientation GVZ is an independent public company employing around 140 internal and 250 part-time employees.
