About the job Join the IT Development Team at Leonteq and experience the fast-paced environment of a leading Swiss FinTech company. You will help build the on-prem AI platform that powers chat, retrieval and agentic workflows across the firm. What you'll do Contribute across our AI platform: the gateway, the retrieval-augmented backend, the chat interface and the agent framework. Help deliver AI agents end-to-end with business teams (scope, model, evaluate, deploy, monitor, iterate) and support other Leonteq teams building their own. Help improve retrieval quality on Leonteq's document corpus through chunking, embeddings, hybrid search and re-ranking, measured with evaluation sets and production traces. Contribute to the testing and evaluation framework for our AI agents and tools, so quality regressions are caught before users see them. Help operate the on-prem model-serving stack and investigate regressions through traces, logs, retrieval scores and GPU metrics. Contribute to security, governance and audit: authentication and authorisation, prompt and response logging, role-based data access, anonymisation, guardrails. What you'll need Master's degree in Engineering, or a related field Hands-on programming experience, ideally in Python and/or TypeScript, plus Git, Linux, Docker and REST/JSON Comfortable using AI coding assistants as part of your workflow Strong interest in financial markets and AI, and a habit of staying informed about the latest trends A debugger's mindset and willingness to work through logs, traces and evaluation failures to find where quality or performance breaks Product and communication instincts: able to extract the real problem from a non-technical stakeholder and turn it into production-ready software Awareness of responsible AI failure modes (hallucinations, prompt injection, data leakage, evaluation gaps) and an instinct to design against them Fluency in business English Nice to have Relevant prior work experience A demonstrable LLM-application project (agent, RAG, evaluation framework, fine-tune) Hands-on exposure to LLM APIs, agent frameworks, RAG pipelines or vector databases, with ML and NLP foundations (transformers, embeddings, prompt design, evaluation) Hands-on experience with tools in our stack: LangGraph, LangChain, LiteLLM, Langfuse, ChromaDB, vLLM or Ollama Interest in or exposure to finance, structured products or regulated environments Open-source contributions in the LLM or agent ecosystem Additional languages (German, French, or Italian) Why you'll love working here Modern facilities in a prime location Two intensive one-week off-site training programs designed to accelerate your early career development Upon successful completion of the twelve-month Leonteq Graduate Program, the possibility of a permanent full-time role, setting you up for long-term success at Leonteq Opportunities to gain cross-departmental insights and develop a holistic understanding of the structured investment product value chain
