Join the Swiss Air Force as an Avionics Technician! You'll work on advanced jets. Tasks Perform maintenance and modifications on avionics and electrical systems. Analyze error messages and troubleshoot to fix defects. Conduct inspections after each flight to ensure aircraft safety. Skills Technical/engineering education required; aviation experience is a plus. Strong technical skills and attention to detail are essential. Team player with flexibility and a solid sense of responsibility. You can make a difference In your role, you work directly on the jets of the Swiss Air Force and mainly take on the following tasks: Maintenance and modification work: Carrying out planned maintenance intervals including replacement & testing of avionics and electrical systems (instruments, electronics, radio and avionics) Repairs & troubleshooting: Analysis of error messages, troubleshooting processes including defect rectification Change and inspection orders: Visual and functional checks after each flight (aircraft and system condition) Work documentation and quality management Attendance at internal avionics training and courses You bring with you Technical / electrical vocational training EFZ (e.g. automation technician, electronics technician, diagnostician or similar field) Experience in aviation and/or vehicle electrics helpful but not mandatory Strong technical skills Conversational English skills (level B1/B2) desired (additionally French skills for Payerne) High commitment and flexibility Resilient personality with team player qualities, strong sense of responsibility / safety awareness and precise and reliable working method Swiss citizenship Salary and benefits Can you repair a Ferrari engine faster than the police allow?
