Coordinate budgeting and financial planning for the Generalsekretariat. Skills Higher education in finance or accounting with relevant experience. Specialist in Accounting 50% The Department of Economic Affairs of the Canton of Zurich (www.vd.zh.ch) includes the Office for Labour, the Office for Economic Affairs, the Office for Mobility, as well as administratively the Zurich Transport Network (ZVV). The General Secretariat is the staff unit of the Director and the service centre of the Directorate. You have experience in finance and accounting and want to take on responsibility? Then we look forward to hearing from you. The Finance & Controlling Department in the General Secretariat is looking for reinforcement for our small and dedicated team from 1 September 2026 or by arrangement as part of a succession plan. Your tasks: - Professional management and organisation of the accounting of the General Secretariat - Preparation of interim and annual financial statements for the General Secretariat - Coordination, preparation and updating of the budget as well as the Consolidated Development and Financial Plan (KEF) for the General Secretariat - Participation and support in the preparation of the budget, the KEF and the business report at the level of the Department of Economic Affairs (e.g. intercompany reconciliations, quality controls including audit reports, etc.) - Coordination of operations and reporting of the internal control system (ICS) as ICS officer in the General Secretariat - Invoicing of municipal contributions in the area of "Public Transport Financing" Your profile: - Higher education in finance and accounting or controlling (federal specialist certificate, FH/HF business administration or equivalent) - Several years of professional experience in a comparable position, ideally in the public administration - Structured, precise and service-oriented way of working - Team-oriented, honest and resilient personality with good negotiation skills - Very good SAP and Excel skills - Confident German language skills, both spoken and written We offer: - Challenging and responsible work in a small, motivated and committed team - Workplace just a few minutes' walk from Zurich main station as well as the possibility of home office - Attractive employment conditions according to cantonal guidelines - Contribution to meal costs (lunch voucher) - Well-developed social benefits according to cantonal personnel law Curious?
