On behalf of our client, a global leader in the healthcare and diagnostics sector, Swisslinx is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer Expert to join a highly specialized Linux platform team supporting cutting-edge medical and diagnostic solutions. Job description: Design, build, and operate scalable infrastructure platforms and services Contribute to on-premises high-availability clusters, networking, and hardware integration Build and maintain infrastructure services including CI/CD platforms, build servers, artifact repositories, monitoring, and alerting solutions Develop Infrastructure-as-Code solutions for automated infrastructure management Integrate cloud and on-premises environments and services Design and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and lifecycle management processes Support hardware-in-the-loop testing environments Enable developer self-service capabilities and platform automation Build, maintain, and optimize GitHub-based CI/CD pipelines Collaborate closely with software engineers, architects, and platform teams to deliver reliable and secure solutions About the customer: This role offers the opportunity to work on mission-critical infrastructure within a complex and innovative MedTech environment, combining Linux engineering, cloud technologies, automation, and hardware integration. In addition to a long-term project assignment, there is a strong possibility of extension beyond the initial contract period, with potential opportunities for longer-term engagement and internal career development depending on business needs and performance. Requirements: 8+ years of experience in DevOps, Infrastructure Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Platform Engineering, or a similar role Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline Proven experience designing, building, and operating infrastructure platforms from the ground up Strong Linux administration and infrastructure engineering expertise Deep understanding of infrastructure architecture, reliability, security, and operational excellence Experience working in production environments with high availability requirements Strong communication and stakeholder management skills Fluent English (written and spoken) Nice to have: Kubernetes, Docker, containerization, and virtualization technologies Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, or similar) Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP GitHub, GitLab, Artifactory, and CI/CD tooling Monitoring and observability platforms Experience within Medical Devices, MedTech, Diagnostics, Healthcare, Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical, or other regulated industries Exposure to embedded systems, hardware integration, ARM platforms, or hardware/software interaction German language skills are advantageous Compensation benefits: Opportunity to work on innovative healthcare and diagnostics technologies Long-term assignment within a globally recognized organization Hybrid working model with up to 50% home office flexibility Flexible working hours High-impact role within a highly skilled international engineering team Modern environment with a strong focus on automation, reliability, and platform engineering Strong likelihood of contract extension beyond the initial term Potential opportunity for long-term engagement or internalization based on performance and business requirements
