About the job 80% - 100% | Analysis / Research | Zurich | Experienced Professionals The equity, bond and real estate fund research of Zürcher Kantonalbank covers around 180 bond issuers as well as around 190 public limited companies, real estate funds and investment foundations throughout Switzerland – more than any other institution in Switzerland. Our analysts thus form the most significant research team in the country. For our Credit Research Team, which is a central part of the value chain of trading, capital markets and research, we are looking for reinforcement who actively contribute to the further development of our product offering. Your tasks Primary analysis (sell-side) and rating classification of Swiss bond issuers from the public law sector (cities & municipalities), as well as the industrial sector (IG and Non-IG) Assessing business strategies, positioning, financial stability and performance of bond issuers Further developing and optimising existing rating methodologies and models Creating analyses and studies on bond issuers, industries and special topics in the field of fixed income and relative value Internal and external presentation of research assessments and study results; contact person for issuers (management, investor relations, treasury) and institutional investors Conducting ad-hoc analyses (including macro topics) and clearly presenting the results Your profile University/FH degree in economics or natural sciences (ETH/university/FH) with a strong flair for financial markets Professional experience or relevant internships in credit or equity research, corporate finance or auditing Good theoretical knowledge and practical experience in balance sheet analysis, modelling, statistics and quantitative finance Programming skills (e.g. in R, Python or VBA) for further development of valuation models and optimisation of system evaluations are an advantage High textual and writing competence in drafting versatile research reports Very good German and English skills (mandatory); French skills are an advantage Our offer Lots of creative freedom as well as a dynamic environment with motivated and committed colleagues who are very much looking forward to working with you A broad, exciting and varied range of topics and projects through which you will get to know many areas of our bank and have the opportunity to further develop and realign the research area in terms of content.
