We are looking for a Senior Soybean Meal Merchant to manage and grow a physical trading book across European and international markets, on behalf of a leading global agribusiness group based in Vaud. This is a senior role requiring deep expertise in the oilseeds complex, strong counterparty relationships, and the ability to operate autonomously in a fast-paced trading environment. Our client is a well-established international agribusiness group with a significant presence in commodity merchandising across agricultural products. Operating from their European hub in Vaud, they manage physical and derivative trading flows across multiple platforms. Description * Manage and develop a physical soybean meal trading book with a European and intercontinental focus * Structure and execute origination, logistics, and trade flows end-to-end * Build and maintain long-term relationships with key counterparties including feed manufacturers, crushers, and international traders * Monitor and analyse oilseed complex fundamentals including global supply/demand balances, CBOT/MATIF spreads, and freight markets * Define and implement hedging strategies in close coordination with the risk management team * Contribute to market intelligence and internal reporting Profile * Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience as a Soybean Meal Merchant or Senior Trader in agricultural commodities, with a proven track record on physical soybean meal * Deep knowledge of the oilseeds complex (soybean meal, hulls, crush margins, global trade flows) * Strong command of futures and options hedging (CBOT), incoterms, and trade documentation * Demonstrated ability to manage a P&L independently and perform under pressure * Excellent negotiation skills and an established network within the European and/or global meal market * Fluent in English; French and/or German is an advantage * EU/EFTA profile or valid Swiss work permit Job Offer * Highly competitive base salary with a performance-driven variable component * Senior role with full commercial autonomy from day one * International working environment * Long-term career development opportunities within a global commodity trading company
