# Senior Oracle DBA # * Basel, CH * Full-time * Unlimited ### Your Role ### As Senior Oracle DBA at Bank J. Safra Sarasin you are responsible for operations, support as well as the continuous development of our Oracle environment globally and provide a high level storage service to the Bank's critical applications. ### Your Responsibilities ### * Support operations with troubleshooting alongside the incident management * Implement change requests (RFC) in line with existing procedures and protocols * Optimize resources utilization by analyzing and proposing improvements considering the life-cycle management of applications hosted * Development and implementation of automated solutions * Collaboration in the continuous development of existing infrastructure and active support of migration projects * Recovery exercises execution and troubleshooting in the 2nd level support incl. on-call service ### Your Profile ### * Higher education (university / FH) in Computer Science or any other relevant education * At least 7 years of practical experience in the field of database operations and engineering * Knowledge in Oracle databases and PostgreSQL is required * Experience with Ansible automation is a plus * Strong team player and ability to recognize synergies * Hands-on mentality and willingness to take responsibility * Strong work ethics, integrity and high level of accountability * Fluency in English; fluency in German is a plus ### Your Benefits ### * Entrepreneurial spirit in a family owned bank * Central city office locations across Switzerland * Above average insurance coverage fully borne by the bank * Contribution to health insurance and meal allowance * Global growth strategy and stable environment * Competitive offering
