# Senior AI Engineer # (m/f/d) Freelance/temporary employment for a project Zurich Start date: asap Reference number: 879433/1 ### Responsibilities ### * Design, build, and operate production-grade GenAI and agentic AI systems on Microsoft AI Foundry and Azure * Take solutions from prototype to secure, governed, and fully supported production * Develop reusable architectures and standardized patterns to scale AI use cases * Set engineering standards for AI (pro-code focus) and mentor team members (incl. low-code environments) * Enable business self-service through platform design instead of manual support * Ensure strong governance, security, compliance, and responsible AI practices in a regulated banking environment ### Profile ### * Proven experience delivering at least one GenAI/agentic solution from prototype to production (ideally in regulated environments) * Strong software engineering background (Python required; plus C\#/.NET or TypeScript) * Hands-on expertise with Azure AI / Microsoft AI Foundry (RAG, orchestration, evaluation, agent design) * Solid understanding of security, data architecture, and trade-offs with ability to challenge business decisions * Experience mentoring and elevating engineering standards across teams * Fast learner with strong judgement in evolving tech landscapes * Fluent English; German is a strong plus ### Benefits ### * Long-term role with clear intention for permanent employment (initially fixed-term, then conversion to permanent)
