# EI&C Maintenance Engineer # (m/f/d) Freelance/temporary employment for a project Visp Start date: asap Reference number: 895907/1 ### Responsibilities ### * Maintain and support electrical, instrumentation, automation, and process control systems across manufacturing and utility facilities * Troubleshoot and resolve electrical, instrumentation, and automation-related issues to minimize downtime * Plan, coordinate, and execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities * Support root cause investigations and implementation of CAPAs * Support and maintain DeltaV Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and related automation infrastructure * Collaborate with Automation, Engineering, and Operations teams to optimize plant performance * Provide support for MES systems, preferably Syncade, including troubleshooting production and batch record issues * Prioritize maintenance activities based on safety, quality, and production impact * Support GMP documentation, deviations, investigations, change controls, and risk assessments * Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reliability, maintenance excellence, and operational efficiency ### Profile ### * Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Process Control Engineering, or a comparable discipline (HF, BSc, MSc) * Experience in industrial maintenance, automation, or process manufacturing environments * Strong knowledge of electrical engineering, instrumentation, and control systems * Hands-on experience with DeltaV (DCS/PLS) environments * Good understanding of GMP-regulated manufacturing operations * Experience with MES systems, ideally Syncade * SAP maintenance module knowledge is an advantage * Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills * Fluent German skills, English is an advantage * Structured, resilient, and proactive working style with strong stakeholder management skills ### Benefits ### * Work in a highly regulated and innovative biopharmaceutical manufacturing environment * Exposure to advanced DeltaV automation and digital manufacturing systems * Opportunity to contribute to site-wide reliability and continuous improvement projects * Involvement in commissioning, qualification, and system lifecycle activities * Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams across Operations, Engineering, Automation, and Maintenance * Diverse and challenging technical responsibilities with high impact on production performance * Modern GMP-compliant working environment * Long-term professional development opportunities * High level of ownership and autonomy within the role
