The department's mission is to detect and effectively treat increasingly frequent and diverse pathologies while respecting patients and their relatives. Organised into six services, the department offers hospital, outpatient, and community services. The adult psychiatry service is involved in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of mental disorders in adults aged 18 to 65. Within outpatient and inpatient units, multidisciplinary teams provide comprehensive care, combining medical treatment, psychotherapy, and social support, in collaboration with external partners. Job description As part of your duties, you will join a multidisciplinary team committed within the hospital environment, composed notably of psychiatrists, nurses, and multiprofessional health workers. As a psychologist, you will support adult patients presenting psychiatric disorders, actively contributing to their overall care from a recovery perspective. You will diligently and committedly provide the psychological follow-ups entrusted to you, offering individual and group psychotherapies tailored to the specific needs of patients. You will rely on a nuanced understanding of their subjective experience to co-construct personalised care plans, encouraging their active participation in the therapeutic process, in accordance with the Geneva inclusive model. In close collaboration with the multidisciplinary teams of the hospital units, you will participate in the development and evolution of therapeutic projects. You will contribute your clinical expertise to adjust interventions and ensure coherent, integrated, and patient-centred care. In your practice, you will develop interventions with both therapeutic and preventive aims, taking into account clinical and institutional challenges. You will ensure support for patients in managing psychological difficulties encountered, while actively contributing to their autonomy and recovery. You demonstrate proactivity and clinical reflection in organising your follow-ups and adapting your practices. You will also have the opportunity to actively participate in the research activities of the adult psychiatry service, thus contributing to the evolution of practices and knowledge in your field. Concerned with the quality of care, you place the patient at the heart of your approach and ensure compliance with institutional guidelines, both in clinical follow-up and in the traceability of your interventions. In a continuous improvement dynamic, you contribute to evolving professional practices and promoting innovative and quality care. More broadly, you will work in an environment that values collaboration, clinical expertise, and knowledge sharing, serving demanding and humane hospital care. Qualifications Holder of a Master’s degree in psychology (or an equivalent qualification), you hold a federal psychotherapist title or are engaged in advanced training towards obtaining it. You have at least 3 to 4 years of experience in psychotherapy, which has allowed you to develop solid clinical skills as well as a rigorous and structured practice. Comfortable working in a multidisciplinary team, you actively contribute to the collective dynamic while demonstrating autonomy, reliability, and a strong sense of responsibility in your role. You also have experience with an adult population presenting mental disorders. Interested in research and the evolution of practices, you are committed to continuous development and updating of your skills.
